FAQs

WHAT IF MY PRODUCT ARRIVES BROKEN?

Relax I got you covered!!

 

  • In case of any damage in transit, all you need to do is to notify me with an email/watsapp within 24 hours of order delivery with proper images of the box with 6 sides exterior and interior packaging, upon approval of the inspection; I will replace your order or return you the full amount of the product only excluding the shipping charges.

  • Please Note It is only the product price which I will be able to refund and when you had a free shipping, the shipping cost will be taken away from the product price.

  • The amount will be refunded to the same source from which the payment was made within 5-7 business days. Make sure you connect with me with any grievances regarding breakages in transit within 24 hours of receipt of your package. Any request after that will not be entertained.

  • I hope you love my work. All artworks are made in New Delhi, in my studio and will ship from my studio. All sales are final. If you have an issue with your order please contact me - teamsrinia@gmail.com

PRODUCT & PROCESS

How are THE SCULPTURAL/FUNCTIONAL ceramic products made?
 

  • All ceramic pieces are hand made by me from scratch to end. All products are first made, slow dried, painted with ceramics colour (formulated by me).

  • They are then fired at 920 0 c then brought out and further treated with glaze to be fired again at 1240 0 c.

  • Each piece takes weeks to be completed.
     


Is the tableware ceramic food safe? 
 

  • Yes, they are totally food safe. I make my own underglaze to paint, and use no harmful chemicals/ lead in my ceramic paint or glaze.
     


​Can I use these the tableware ceramics in the microwave and dishwasher?
 

  • Yes, these are all safe to use in the microwave and dishwasher. Although, it would be fantastic if you could spare a few minutes to use a gentle detergent and sponge to handwash these precious babies.
     


Will the illustrations and colours on the ceramics fade after multiple use? 
 

  • No. I paint with ceramic colour after which I fire it two times up to 1240 0 c, so they won’t fade after multiple usage. Use them every day multiple times!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • This product is dishwasher safe; do ensure a mild dishwasher cycle and mild detergent for cleaning.

  • A gentle handwash with a sponge and non-abrasive detergent could give your product longer life. 

  • Please do not use metal scrubs else the surface might get ugly scratches.

  • Please ensure the piece is dry before you store it away.

CUSTOMISATION & REQUESTS

Do you take custom orders/bulk orders?
 

  • Yes, I do take bulk orders but within my aesthetics and work style. For corporates, wedding or any other bulk order requests but please note that handmade ceramics take time to make, dry, fire and deliver. So do keep at least 2 months in
    advance for any bulk orders.


     

How many pieces make for a bulk order?
 

  • Minimum 50 pieces is considered a bulk order.

     

Can I customise less than 50 pcs?
 

  • Yes sure. But lead time will be similar because clay takes it own sweet time make and dry.



What type of products can be ordered for customisation/bulk?
 

  • I am happy to customise wall installations, mugs, tumblers, bowls and vases. I rarely do plates. But I am open for it for breakfast sets or wall installations.

Can you customise the glaze colours?
 

  • I generally work with transparent and white matt glaze. I often use a certain brown and blue which is made by me, tried and tested; which is something I can offer apart from my usual transparent/ white glaze

Can you customise a certain colour for me?
 

  • I mainly use black, blue, turquoise, red and yellow for my illustrations on clay. The colours you see in my shop are the only ones I work with currently.

     

Can you customise shape and size?
 

  • Yes, I can. But may I please request you to not bring reference of other artists or artisans and bring customisation requests within my working style area. As a principle I cannot copy any one’s work; even if it means for money. Nonetheless, if you have a reference, I can always use your reference to make a layout with my own style and you will own a unique piece that no one else in the world will have.

     

I saw a product on Instagram handle @sriniaceramics page that I would love to customise according to my specifications? Will that be possible?
 

  • YI make one-off, unique pieces. No two same pieces are ever made. I make small limited-edition batch of works. I hate repeating same patterns or illustrations over and over again; it bores me to death. Being an illustrator/ doodler, I keep coming up with new patterns all the time and it retains my artistic freedom. I announce shop updates on my Instagram
    handle. My web shop will be updated every 2 months tentatively. All my pieces can be found on my online shop. I suggest that you subscribe to my insider club newsletter to receive notifications about updates as well as exclusive previews.

     

Can I pre-book an item or buy from you directly?
 

  • Unfortunately, I am a one-woman army so taking such requests can lead to logistical errors. I make a series and list it on my online shop. Therefore, I wish to remind you yet again to join my insider club newsletter, that way you never miss a shop update and be the first to grab your favourite!!

RETURN/ REPLACEMENT/CANCELLATION POLICY


All my sculptural and functional artworks are handmade and hand-drawn and hand carved by me; thus, there is bound to be some irregularities that only add to their beauty. Make sure to check out the dimensions carefully (provided in centimetres) to avoid surprises.
 

Can I cancel my order?
 

  • Once purchased, I will not be able to cancel the order due to the logistics involved. So may I please request you to make sure that you are fully happy with your order before placing it. If you have any questions, you can always connect with me over an email.
     

Can I return my product?
 

  • Due to fragile nature of ceramics, as a policy I will not be able to entertain any return or exchange unless a wrong product has been sent over (which has never happened so far, but just in case).
     

What if my Product arrives broken?

REFUND POLICY

 

While photos are taken in good lighting setup but due to the nature of my items being handmade and the clay and glaze being natural materials, the photos that are shown to display my products may have minor differences when you receive the product. Please be aware that I will not be able to issue any refunds or exchange due to the item not looking exactly same as the image during the time of purchase. Please understand this is the beauty of handmade, each piece is completely unique.

 

NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES!

 

When placing your order, you understand that ceramics is organic and I don't do perfect: if you love my work, you love and embrace those tiny imperfections. The work is as is and is a metaphor for who we are as human beings: flawed!

  • If your purchase meets the eligibility criteria where in you  photograph the defect as soon as you open the packaging and notify me with an email/watsapp within 24 hours of order delivery with proper images of the box with 6 sides exterior and interior packaging then I will happily exchange and offer a fresh piece.

 

  • ALL SALES ARE FINAL

  • ALL WORK IS AS IS (w/ imperfections)

 

SHIPPING AND CHARGES 

 

Do I need to pay extra for shipping charges?
 

  • Shipping Charges anywhere in India is free of cost. 
     

What if I am not an Indian customer?
 

  • I use registered courier companies for all my orders.

  • Shipping charges may vary based on the product, its size and volume, and the final shipping destination. 

  • Email me: teamsrinia@gmail.com immediately after placing your order and I will get back to you with the shipping charges.

 

When can I expect my order to arrive?
 

  • All orders are shipped within 3-5 days from the date of purchase; via registered courier companies.

  • A shipment confirmation with tracking numbers will be sent within one business day to the email address you entered at the checkout.
     

STUDIO VISITS AND WORKSHOPS


Can we visit your studio?
 

  • I have a tiny studio and it’s a working studio therefore visits are open on appointment basis only. Kindly contact me teamsrinia@gmail.com

Do you teach?
 

  • I do teach on freelance basis; but mostly take workshops with various organisations and corporates.

  • I am currently not teaching in my studio.

  • If ever I take a workshop, then I will announce it over my Instagram handle @sriniaceramics and email. So go subscribe the insider club newsletter already!
     

Can I intern with you?
 

  • Yes sure. Hit me up with an email teamsrinia@gmail.com and we can discuss it over.

  • Please note, this internship will not offer any stipend, however, I will be able to let you create a project in my studio in return for your involvement in my studio/running of the business/social media.
