A HEARTFELT NOTE

ceramics is a very special medium that can be transformed into anything be it sculptural or functional.

Every so often I find myself making small batches of functional ceramics and find it tremendously satisfying to be able to turn the clay into everyday objects that can be used on a daily basis.

Ceramics is truly magical.

ROOPKOTHA SERIES

Roopkotha is a lovely Bengali word that means "fairytale." This series is a richly illustrated collection of stories about a journey into the world of dreams and the quest for enlightenment.

The sgraffito technique is prominent in this series. These one-of-a-kind pieces combine my drawing and carving skills to create the magic of narration on ceramics.

BUNTY BUBBLY SERIES

This series is an extension of my scribble and dribble series with quirky characters.

PETRICHOR SERIES

I call this series the petrichor. Petrichor is the fragrance that comes after the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather. The pieces have a contemporary, minimal, and earthy aesthetic.
